Did you know that when you drive somewhere your car sends out bad fumes, which melt ice in Antarctica? The melting ice endangers the polar bears because they need the space to live on. The fumes are also bad for you to breathe in.
Another way people are endangering animals is by cutting down rain forests. The rain forests are home to a lot of animals. It’s like people destroying your home that you live in.
Here are some ideas for what you can do to help the animals in the artic and in the rain forest. First, try not to drive to a lot of places. You should ride your bike or walk instead of taking your car. Second, you can recycle instead of throwing trash out.
There are still a lot of other ideas you could try doing to help endangered animals. I hope this helps you think more about how to save animals that are going extinct.

Blake,
ReplyDeleteYes, it's true. We are not doing much to help the animals and their habitats with our behaviors. And, you are also correct in writing that it only takes small efforts, like driving less, to begin to heal the planet and save the animals. When it comes down to it, a lot of what we're doing is not only endangering the animals but us too!
Thanks for taking the time to write this.
